It’s not easy being cute…

I am editing Carla and Marc’s gorgeous wedding right now and saw these two images. The look on the little girl’s face says it all. She’d rather be anywhere but in that chair. I love it!

Shannon and Steven

This morning I photographed Shannon and Steven’s engagement session. Steven is a chef at Manresa and Shannon loves to bake (especially cupcakes). So… of course we had to do their session in a kitchen! As soon as Shannon told me her idea of doing something in a kitchen, I loved it.

In between making Strawberry Shortcake and setting things on fire (Steven loved this part), I photographed them. I learned all sorts of interesting facts… Like did you know a restaurant can have a time-share cow?!? I guess in order to get the freshest milk, a couple of restaurants share a cow. Who would have thought!

We had so much fun. I can’t wait for their June 2008 wedding. Thanks Shannon and Steven!

Las Vegas!

Every year I go to Las Vegas for a photographer’s convention - Wedding and Portrait Photographer’s International. About 10,000 photographers from around the world descend on Las Vegas to learn from colleagues and see the latest in photographic toys. It’s always fun to see people you haven’t seen in a while and see what photographers on the other side of the world are doing. Normally when I go, I have one goal - learn!

This year it will be a bit different. One of my past wedding clients lives out that direction. They have asked me to photograph them when I’m in Vegas. I loved the idea!

I would love to line up a few more portrait sessions while I am there. So, if there is anyone else that would like to have portraits done while I am in Las Vegas next March (sometime around the 13th - 21st), please let me know.

Joanne and Paul

I photographed Joanne and Paul’s wedding today at Silver Creek Country Club. Joanne wore a gorgeous gown from Gabrielle’s in Los Gatos and veil with a beaded trim.

After their ceremony overlooking the waterfall, the guests moved inside for plenty of laughter and dancing. And surprises - a relative sang a song for the happy couple and later, Joanne and Paul had a second special dance - the tango!

Congratulations Joanne and Paul!
