Delores and Derick

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Delores and Derick’s wedding at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay.

Delores and Derick have been best friends since high school. It seems that all of their friends knew they were meant to be together but Delores and Derick didn’t realize this until 2005.

In attendance was their “fairy godmother”, Michelle, who helped nudge Delores and Derick in the right direction - to each other. Even though it took a while, she never gave up. Michelle first suggested they would make a good couple back in high school!

It was an incredible day full of happiness and tears of joy. Delores’ nurse co-workers helped make her dreams come true by purchasing her beautiful wedding gown. Derick even designed the wedding cake made by Elegant Cheesecakes.

On top of everything else wonderful that happened on Sunday, I got to work with my favorite videographers - Savadelis Films! And for the first time I worked with Ron Grandia, an incredible DJ.

Thank you Delores and Derick for including me in your day. It was truly an honor to be a part of your day. Congratulations!

  7. …and one more big THANK YOU! from me. Melissa, these are truly wonderful images of our truly wonderful day. The shot of Delores at the window is worth the price of admission alone. I don’t normally like pictures of myself, but I must say that you captured something that sums up the joy of the day. Delores, on the other hand, can’t take a bad picture, and you managed to catch something in her that is wonderfully radiant. Bravo!
